I’m from Spain, and we generally consider elyoya as the best player in Mad and the best spanish player at the moment. Seeing him lose in such a way its very hard. And if Nisqy, who treat him like a dog in a famous clip is inting like that in this series and its laughing after the match ended the whole situation is very frustrating for the spanish community. I think its all about nisqy, not hyli and the staff who also laughed

I think there’s some context to Mellado’s tweet related to MAD Lions’ winter finals vlog released one month ago. There’s that backstage footage after game 2 where Elyoya is a little annoyed because he doesn’t know what to do to change the course of the games and no one else is giving ideas, and Nisqy kicks him out of the meeting saying that Elyoya particularly needs to go take a walk. Since then, in the Spanish community there’s been a lot of banter, memes and toxicity towards Nisqy and about that incident. So when I saw the tweet from Mellado (who loves to meme and fool around), it didn’t really feel that serious or personal, and only thought it was another showing of that narrative and banter related to the Nisqy-Yoya thing. Obviously, the tweet itself is a terrible and stupid take regardless and should’ve been deleted, especially after it got so much relevance. I think the Spanish community got more serious and angry aswell with Nisqy’s insanely disrespectful and even more out of place response, which I can’t understand how some people from the scene like Crownie stand up for. When Caedrel talked about low emotional intelligence, I felt like it could be said for both Mellado and people who think Nisqy’s reaction is perfectly normal.

Again, I’m a Spanish viewer so this might not be the most objective take. I just wanted to share it and give the context that I think triggered the publication of the first tweet.

G2 had that mentality all year, they would laugh in wins and in loses. Plus they would all run it down together trying or win smurfing. Nesquik literally solo lost the series and had the balls to laugh. Dont compare the 2 things they are completly different put some respect of 2019 g2 thank you.

For context it’s important to know that it’s been more then one year that the spanish community constantly insult (including Ibai, lvp casters…) Nisqy and say he brings down Elyoya (mostly cause he is french Lets not lie)
His response is bad but totally understandable regarding the harassement the other man started. This man (Jaime or wte) is really toxic while being racist and I really can’t understand how much the spanish community defends him it’s such a shame.

It’s not even Spanish fans it’s more Spanish twitter, like I’m from Spain and I support MAD and tbh I dont mind Nisqys attitude at all MAD’s strongest point tends to be mental and I like how they handle these situations and it’s Elyoya who usually seems more affected but that might not be the truth, we cant tell just from their reaction. I personally dislike Spanish casters because they are so biased and I just feel embarrassed from Spanish twitter Im so thankful to not be on twitter. And I dont even blame Nisqy for reacting like that, maybe he’s a public figure but if someone from the outside without any knowledge flamed me after a loss just because of a bad performance and me trying to cope with laughter I would say worse things tbh
And as a Elyoya fan I understand a bit better why Mellado might have posted that, it goes back to Nisqy trying to calm Elyoya down in Winter finals I believe by telling him to go for a walk which turned into a joke in Elyoya’s stream but apparently some Spanish fangirls took it too seriously
