The caster didn’t pick the right words for that tweet but I get his point and I think all of you are not realizing the bigger picture.
Imagine (if you’re a football fan) that your national team loses at the FIFA World Cup and gets eliminated in a humiliating way like 7-0 or something. And now imagine the players still at the field laughing as hell and looking like someone who’s having fun and not affected at all about the performance they just had.
You can lose a SoloQ game at your house and react however you want to. But if you’re a professional player you’re representing a Team, a Fanbase and moreover in this case a WHOLE REGION. Even if you want to laugh (which I still could not understand but let’s assume I do) you must not do it in front of thousands of people watching you while being sad and disappointed because they really believed that you could actually win that.
The MAIN DIFFERENCE between KR/CHN and EU/NA throughout the years and what makes the GAP be so huge is the discipline and the hardworking mentality the asians show. If it was them losing that way to another team they would not drop a single freaking smile. Way too far from that. Because they know that 1. they’ve been working SO HARD just for being humiliated that way and that is depressing and 2. in a few minutes they’ll receive the biggest roast they’ve ever received from their coaches in the backstage.
And yes, Caedrel, it was not just Nisqy laughing, it was also some other members of the team AND THE COACH STAFF. BUT BRO THAT’S ACTUALLY THE WHOLE POINT! You have seen the video of EDG’s coach flaming the shit out of them brutally in the backstage after losing a close series at worlds. THAT MY GUY is the big difference and the reason why we’ll NEVER beat asian teams. You don’t see a football player laughing after losing a worlds match or a champions league match, you don’t see a basketball player laughing after losing a match, you don’t see a boxer laughing after being knocked out, because they’re competitive and they really wanted to fucking win. So what the fuck? Why is everyone deffending Nisqy and saying bullshit like “maybe Carzzy said a funny joke” (you think it was an appropriate moment to make a funny joke even if that was the case?), “every person has their own reaction” or justifying it by saying “the coach staff was laughing too”. Come on bro stfu and put to work. You can not be this embarrassing just out of respect to the fanbase/region/team you’re representing. It’s just awful. Just like he woke up knowing he’d get rekt. You can tell Elyoya or Chasy woke up believing they really could win or make a close series.
The mentality my guy, that’s what makes the difference. Even more than the skill itself.
Not only the players’ but also and mainly the freaking coach staffs. You’ve got to be kidding me.
I’m european but I’ve always been a T1 and KR fan not because they win or lose a tournament but because I would never support a losers mentality region.

Nisqy responded horribly and inappropriately and his response was not acceptable, but I don’t think I agree with the idea that the tweet calling him a loser was not an insult or attack. The implication is that he doesn’t care and assuming Nisqy did care a lot, that’s an insult. Doesn’t justify his action at all, but I think the tweet was definitely an insult, especially given all the Spanish fans going IN on nisqy before he even tweeted back

Calling someone’s mother expletives is a lot worse than calling them out for “not caring”. It’s very obvious that after game one the whole team was deflated. They should be criticized and honestly all of western league of legends should be besides maybe G2 who put up more of a fight.

What makes it worse is so many league personalities saying Nisqy’s comment was okay (not including Cardrel obviously). The players think it’s okay because life is a video game to all these people but ultimately there are real consequences to acting like a loser like that. When you play bad you will get heavily criticized just like real professional sports players do. If esports wants to evolve, the players have to grow up and mature and so do the people covering the esport

The fact that Elyoya is Spanish and he was mad cuz guy from his country lost and was bested by other teams is absurd, no reason for Nisqy not to smile, he achieved something great, given the current state of LEC it’s not expected for us to go toe to toe with those teams and it’s completely fine to lose and smile, they’ve gave their best, failed, so what? They have to be depressed and commit suicides now or what? Let him enjoy their succeses, he plays this tournament for HIS OWN fame and money, he has the right to either smile or cry, also he’s just seeking attention because nobody knows shit about him nor does anybody care for random Spanish caster.
