the thing that made HATE fgo as a whole was the ” no more re-runs” policy they decide to do, it doesn’t affect as much since I have basically all welfares…but New players don’t exist? like what were they thinking when making that decision?

also how they region locked the game and now people can’t even buy sq for GSSRs or anything, idc about banner delays because of ho many banners they have been releasing back to backand I don’t really read story because I don’t speak japanese.

They started the year ”good” but then they decided to make some of the most dogshit decisions i’ve seen a gacha do and just ruin the enjoyment in the game and looking up to re-runs for mats and stuff, dissapointing

For the new servant my big issue is the NP abandoning the armor so I end up indifferent to the servant. Not as if I hate or care about it explicitly, just a “?” sort of thing. For dead weeks I’m not against them conceptually but the biggest issue is FGO has SWATHES of these dead weeks(and we’re about to hit a pretty horrified streak in 2023 from what I remember in JP) and does nothing *with* them. I don’t necessarily want *new* content but I do want reruns of old events for new users to pick up old welfare servants. I think in tandem with this issue is the fact FGO has never attempted to optimize, so to speak, it’s scheduling in order to close the absolutely massive two year gap. It frustrates me to no end that we remain so far behind JP and as a result it’s almost impossible to not get spoiled or clued in about the major story beats of every story. Past this the JP side is often just as fickle and quick to voice frustrations and whatnot. I distinctly remember seeing many RTs from JP accounts complaining about the crossover event being Bunyan whenever this was(last year I think?) so it’s very much not a phenomenon limited to the NA side. They also got pretty stir crazy from the gap between LB5.2->LB6 wait time. Just a couple of things I wanted to point to

I never really got much hype on seeing the Jp stuff this year as the scheduling shift really hampered both the events and reruns so badly that new players will lose out on free units and that will make them want to play less. Fgo has as many issues as it’s fans.

Same with gameplay fans. I hear so many just copy what they hear in videos and think they are smart. Example summer ibuki fans thinking she is be all end all when she isn’t. My na musashi zerk and space ishtar can farm zerk nodes without trouble and that’s almost 2 years before ibuki summer as well as have better survival. I feel the community just don’t care enough to actually test out units and wait for the community to make up thier mind for them.

Story fans wise. People treat fgo like thier baby and ignore reject or outright just block out any actually critisism for the story and fgo has a lot of it lb 6 alone part 1 and 2 could have been cut down and still be the same story overall. Nasu gets too much passes when his stories are always flawed. People like the characters not the stories more times than not like the fae knights as I’m sure people dont remember half of lb 6 characters compared to other lb npc.

Overall the problem is getting worse as the community grows and you get shallow people coming in trying to sound cool or think they know anything when that just shows they think with the crowd rather than themselves.

Luckily some content creators I know can call it out as you can easily tell who is shallow and wants views and who actually cares for the game and goes into some depth to show that while fgo is flawed that doesn’t mean you hate the game I trust people who can break down what works and what doesn’t more so than blind fans who think it’s perfect

I honestly agree with you. I play two other gacha games other than FGO, so the mind set is pretty much similar and I just get tired of hearing the same old thing about what I can and can’t do to my own account, giving advice is fine, but bullying someone to do what majority do is really stupid because at the end of the day—it’s your account, you choose who you want or don’t want.

I’m relieved that you guys have a breather from banners, I personally don’t play JP but my friends who do were sweating bullets on this year summer banner, some were extremely lucky and some weren’t since they went all out for the anniversary servant. Everyone has been conditioned for years to see what servants will be in LB, so they feel entitled to see them in a banner before in the story.

I guess people fail to understand one simple thing:

*FGO, at its core, is a visual novel*. The gacha element is nothing but a nice bonus. You can absolutely complete almost everything without ever touching the SQ summon button.

If anything, I feel absolutely delighted that they are delaying the LB7 summons, since that opens up a plethora of discussions of who’s going to get a banner. Not to mention the general enjoyment of the story.

Regarding Britomart – well, some Servants are not supposed to raise the bar of be-all and end-all Servants, like Castoria. *And that’s okay*. There’s zero requirement to get any Servant, you know? You don’t have to press roll button every time you open the game.

Well said! For me personally I ignore the people who only bring negativity to the Fanbase/Franchise. I rather celebrate the big and little wins of every master playing this game-Just spread good vibes.

I feel ya man. You are first FGO youtuber that have main point. First I rolled on Britomart banner and I got her NP2. I am glad that FGO is given us break. BTW Space Ishtar is my only 5 star NP5 servant that I have on JP which its my main server now. I am still so greatful to get her 5x. Its like two or three years ago. People like Touhousniper who tried get every new servants to NP5 like spending tons of money really need to seek mental help. I am dolphin too but I know my limits. Your right about one major thing is that people in FGO community wont ever be happy. The reason they just want create dramas but deep down they love game. True fans like us, wont make whole complain to public instead we do it at developers secretly through email or feedbacks. I been to Anime and Convention Community more than 10 yrs of my life. I am happy of how FGO became as today.

I have branched off from FGO. I have Genshin to fill that void EASILY when FGO has dead periods. Hell, I’m even going to dive into that new Sword Art Online mobile game when that releases!

I recently got a new computer so I may start recording other things again. :3

Seriously, like, do those people don’t have any other things in their life to do so they want every new contents as fast as possible? I myself really appreciated some so called “Dead weeks” because it gave me some breathing room and time to do other activities, and yes if there’s nothing I wanna roll for in the meantime that means more time to gather SQ for the next one.

When they said there will be no new Servants until the end of the year, it’s not like LB7 banner aren’t gonna come ever, just a little bit later. I’m pretty sure those will drop right at the New Year, and as I saw there was no LB that don’t contain someone to Hype with (Events maybe hit or miss sometimes but the main story after LB always has some big fan favorite). LB7 not doing immediate banner will only increase the hype, maybe we getting glimpse of what they can do will take to the measure of what they should roll for even more.

Also they can be mean to judge when someone want to roll any Servant that they deemed “Not good” too (either Gameplay or Character-wise), is it hard let people get what they want even if it doesn’t affect anything to them?

It’s crazy how so few people read the famitsu article which warned them about these changes and just focused on the spinning the “ less reruns” into “ no reruns”

I have spent months trying to tell people about these changes and telling them why their overreacting yet I get spat in the face every single time because people would rather doompost and spread false news than listen to logic.

It’s crazy how the people who got called out for being children would huddle together and scream in an echo chamber while the people trying to speak logic are downvoted into forums till their post are deleted etc. the fgo Reddit is the worst offender of this thank you for putting this out
