One other thing mentioned by chat right after I stopped recording was also the potential FGO still has. They mentioned the recent jump from rank 145 (which we never should have been at) to rank 1 on the JP iOS store with Nito’s release. Regardless I really wanted to get this video out to give you guys some food for thought in light of the recent doomposting. Thanks for watching as always! Don’t forget to like the video and consider subscribing if you’d like more!
Would be nice if we finally had an backup system or accounts so we could actually pity roll with the assurance of some safety if we get a pity drop. Lose your device and your screwed, plus being able to play on multiple screen sizes would be a nice change of pace.
Backing up your one-time code is not REALLY a good safety net, with an account at least you could reissue or reset your code and password.
You can’t do anything else with all those servants once their initial summon banner drops, no new interactions. Most servants aren’t used as often as Farm enablers, since well this game tries to be grindy intentionally.
You should be able to unlock everything with coin at bond 15 regardless of np level or rarity
Just wanna say I really appreciate your recent flurry of uploads with great content. Good topics worth discussing and I love hearing your take on things, keeping both sides balanced with reasoning. Keep up the fantastic work!
Totally agree on the COVID theory regarding the delay of the next chapter. Multiple anime have been put on hold indefinitely for the same reason. Apparently in Japan certain materials and development tools can only be accessed on office workstations due to strict rules, so certain steps cannot be done with remote work.
Rare mana prisims has always been a frustrated thing to deal with as a non whale. Well I did whale before but I’m not a hardcore whale. But thats not the point here. I always thought that the devs should give us more accessibility for Rare prisims during events as mission rewards (Like the mission progression during little big tengu in NA). Hell even giving us Rare prisims through 5 star bond rewards would be a better improvement instead of burnning our 5 stars to get them. Which no one would unless they are np 5.
The fact people can be optimistic for anything Lasagna does going forward is interesting, to say the least.
Game is clearly fine doing whatever at as slow a pace as possible because they know the IP is far too massive for its loyal fans to care enough to vote with their wallets.
I have feeling that they will announce end of the game after LB7 and Final though.
Don’t know, it sounds to me like they backed themselves into a corner, they could have solved their timing issues quickly by giving us re-runs and I wonder why they haven’t.
the only thing I can think of is that since the re-runs make less money, the investors or someone decided they should take them down and concentrate on new events instead, and obviously with the new wave of COVID’s tearing up their schedule, devs are now facing a number of problems instead.
Let’s not forget that every welfare Servant released prior to Case Files’ rerun is screwed with coins, even if you take them to bond 15. (With bond 15 you have enough coins to either unlock just one append or take the unit to level 112)
So is it really so hard to make these events available again through the MP shop by making it cost 1000 MP or even making it cost 5 RP at the RP shop?
I am more worried about where FGO is going to go after part 2 is done, because it took me a lot of effort and time to build up my account (NA) and i hope it won´t end in 2 or so years, because my biggest fgo regret is that I rushed through part 1 and large parts of Part 2 (Basically until after SIN) with a shit line up and couldn´t really enjoy the game.
I mean, my perspective is as follows: They had a year to have LB7 done, and it’s pretty clear that they barely scraped a pt1 together by Dec 25th: no banners, unfinished enemy animations, KP costume confirmed – but for pt2, etc. They said the banner issue was to avoid spoilers, fine, I can accept that excuse despite Dec winding up pretty light on new units as a result (a term which here means, no new units in Dec.) Giving more goodwill, enemy servant animations could also be obfuscating for the playable versions.
New years happens. Kirei’s pretty cool, his first sprite’s missing his crucifix necklace, but nbd. Nothing happens the rest of January in terms of new or rerun content to play. A little concerning, but it doesn’t become actively problematic until the announcement for LB7-2 release when it becomes pretty clear that there’s nothing but daily content to engage with all of Jan.
Nito Alter releases out of nowhere in the middle of the month, a unit who’s clearly a story unit form 7-2 who hasn’t yet appeared. I like Nito, but there’s no way I’m rolling on a regular pool single SSR banner presumably like 6 days before a main story chapter with an accompanying banner comes out, so despite Nito being pretty neat, she may as well not be in the game for anyone looking to be thrifty with their quartz. Also, they clearly backtracked upon their unit spoiler statement, but nbd, the Lostbelt’s gonna drop in a week because there’s no other date left in the month that fits when they regularly release new content.
They make an announcement that 7-2 is going to drop at 8PM on Jan 31st JP time. What this tells me is that they’re pretty close to having it ready, but they, as of right now, are not done, they are in crunch time and really don’t expect it to be ready any earlier than the 30th. Nito’s release was just so that they can have something ready mid-jan so the entire month wasn’t just devoid of anything, so they released a single, relatively non-spoily unit who’s an alter form of a unit we’ve had forever they they were honestly intending on releasing for the LB banners.
Essentially it seems they’ve had all hands on deck working on the Lostbelt all month so they literally don’t have the staff to spare on setting up any time-filler campaign, even something as relatively simple as hunting quests just so that they can save face and meet their January deadline without having to appoligize to the community. This is inexcusable because realistically, both parts should have been done in December, they could timegate the LB and have the New Years campaign to essentially buy themselves a month of devtime to work on future content.
Instead it’s clear that they’re starting the year incredibly behind and will need to play catch-up going into February, which means less content for us the players and more crunchtime for the dev team themselves. The whole situation reeks of serious mismanagement and bad PR. Like, if they made a statement on the 10th saying they ran into development issues and would have 7-2 ready early February, threw us some apoligems and ran like hunting quests for a week, deadweek, then a bare-bones grail front v kadoc with rewards being blue prisms/teapots, the community may have been a little peeved but this whole thing would have gone over a lot better. Heck, if they knew they were in crunch, they could have just said that they were releasing 7-2 on the 31st from the onset.
I wish there were more ways to get gold fou cards.
i get having set back.
but having no event not even a rerun or mini rerun for a month plus is just bad.
new servants aren’t really game content.
and fgo doesn’t even have boss rush or any other type of game you can do.
just daily chore quest.
I just hope they decide to make fate go arcade global or at least in the US

I don’t think the lb 7 situation is comparable to lb5.1 and lb5.2, it’s more like if they took Atlantis OR Olympus and split it in half.
Still waiting for a single new full animation update since Tesla
There has been quite a few anime production as well as voice actors getting hit by Covid so i wouldnt be surprised if it was an ongoing issue for the studio.
Hopefully they can get get back into the swing of things and get things sorted out, its not ideal but its not too bad to just take it slow and play some other games in the meantime.
