Rewatched your reaction and was genuinely in tears. We don’t play FGO for the gacha or the game play. We play for the characters, stories, and emotional bonds we make. FGO is a love letter to humanity, showcasing the best and the worst of humans and embracing our existence with love. No other story has as much weight for my friends and I as FGO does. I wholeheartedly love this game.

As an FGO player who has spent WAY too much money on FGO… Probably best to not. The gacha is pretty brutal even though the game itself is pretty good

It makes me so so happy to see people from the outside finally having something to watch that really shows off FGO and the Fate series like this does.
The game may be well known but most people know it for the less positive reasons, so it’s wonderful for me to see someone able to look at this game I love and feel something similar to how I feel about it.

This series means so much to me.

Fate Grand Order is a different beast than any of the Fate Stay stuff. I enjoy Grand Order far more for the story, the characters, and the actual, global stakes the characters have in being successful. If you love history, fiction, nerdiness, give the anime Fate Grand Order Babylonia a try. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

I will say, having played FGO and other gacha games. FGO is the first game I’ve ever played to make me cry, and have true shivers while reading the story. The 7th Singularity broke me. Temple of Time, I had goosebumps until the end.

FGO is pretty great, sadly it’s one of those game where the hights are really hight but the lows really low.
The story is fantastic, a bit spotty at the beginning but once it gets going it’s better than any other gacha and some chapters in part 2 are up there with some of the best RPG/VN story.
Sadly the gacha is pretty harsh with low rates and pretty bad pity. Plus the “f” in FGO definitely stands for farming, the gameplay is actually not that bad but the lack of auto-pay, animation skips, and the fact that events require a lot of farming can make it really annoying.

IMO, it’s really worth a try but I can understand why someone would prefer to stay away, after all as the meme goes “that’s hell you walking into”.
