in apocrypha, realistically speaking, karma or achilles easily would win if it was a actual holy grail
rider only beat saber ulter because of plot armor 🤣🤣
Shirou: trace on… trigger off… NINE LIVE BLADE WORK!!!
I feel like shiro vs Archer fight should have been on the list
shhh, noisy
Rider in all their forms have always been my favorite characters, so glad Medusa got her chance to shine.
zeroのセイバーvsディルムットが入っててUBWの士郎vsギルが入ってないことを除けば、大体は共感できますね。
I’d have personally picked a few more fights from FGO Babylonia, not because of them being a visual spectacle, but because you could feel the difference in Theme despite being the same Franchise shows.
Fate/Stay Night evokes certain emotions as a ritual in the far east that lasts for only two weeks. Whereas FGO Babylonia takes place in the era of Gods where mankind is to separate from deities in Gilgamesh’s ritual of separation.
Most especially, the scenes leading up to Kingu locking Tiamat into place atop Uruk, anyone who knows the context behind Enkidu/Kingu and Gilgamesh would find that this scene is nothing short of legendary. It is literally the first human legend, reimagined.
Fate/Stay Night’s fights are amazing, but I will place most babylonia fights above that because it’s where we really see the heroism of each servant shines. Plus, we get to see how coherent each Servant’s personality is accordingly to history, and not just fight for the sake of a wish.
Those factors alone make the two series completely different stories as it opens up possibilities of character development, or at least grants us more insight on what a servant is like when they’re not always thinking about the next move, or how to approach a fight.
That said one series is not better than the other, they’re practically different types of stories. Fate/Stay Night is a very personal story to Shirou’s growth, and FGO Babylonia is pretty much an Epic of large scales and battles. One show can only bring out so much from all of Nasuverse lore, and show different paths to enjoyment of a series.
good list, i agree with everything except shirou vs heracles at number 4. shirou won mostly due to his plot armor, which made this battle more annoying than epic. i would put gilgamesh vs heracles in this place instead
Okay Im rewatching the heavens feel route right now.
Lancer vs archer prolly my fav from the series
i would only add one fight: iskandar vs gilgamesh. dude, that was epic af
What about quetzalcoalt vs tiamat ?
What about shirou vs kirei
Ofc is rider vs saber #1
personally I was sad that Gilgamesh vs Escanor was not here but still loved this list
I agree with you 100% altered Saber vs rider best visuals in a fight scene. 👌 I need more
yo ya fgt abt shirou vs kirie (heaven’s feel) that sht had one of the most dramatic fights in the series
Sakura suffered way too much, if only Rin went through a fraction of that
fate anime get the best animation of the whole anime
