It’s reasonable. I mean, it’s way more cheaper than CS:GO skins 😅
radianite is atrocious. charging radianite for variants is understandable, but charging radianite for upgrades for a skin you already paid for is extremely greedy
Money is relative, so if you can’t justify spending a set amount on a product, it’s probably because you can’t afford it.
I’d rather chose an expensive skin, than have to go through some RNG case opening for very slim chance at getting what I want. Clearly riot don’t want to go down the RNG chest and are following hte same model as with League and I for one prefer it.
If you feel like you need to get every new skin and skin pack that comes out and upgrade it then riot are doing something right.
People really like to fault Riot for their prices and having a 2nd currency but its normal nowadays and also the game is FREE like you know you don’t have to spend money right, and the game has to make money somehow so if that means jacking up the price on some skins will do it then who cares, they have to work hard and make good looking skins so they sell themselves to a certain extent minus marketing. AGAIN no one is forcing you to buy every bundle that is released that’s your problem if anything. Are the prices higher than other games, Yes. Now why is that wrong? It isn’t, because the skins do more generally they have animations and stuff. Why can and should they get away with it? Because they know what they make is cool as hell and people will want it, even at a higher price. At the end of the day its still you who makes the final decision, so grow up and learn not how to spend recklessly.
Good ole foxa
Yeah the skins are a bit too expensive for my taste (especially being Brazilian), and the Radianite system is just unbelievable. Such a scummy tactic to make more money from content we already paid for. If you think about it, it’s _very_ expensive because what you pay for, at first, is just the appearance change, without effects, finisher or sounds.
Genshins gameplay success is NOT tied to what characters you get. The game is not a predatory as you make it out to be. I have been playing the game since day 1 and not spent a dollar on the game and I’m still strong enough for any content in the game.
Honestly first bad take I’ve seen. Telling people if they have a problem with the outrageous prices then they have to go after all games that have that, wtf? If you don’t like that your cities tax rate, you need to bring up every other city with similar or higher tax rates! Bundles that cost the price of AAA games and can’t resell or hold any value later on are too much.
I think that the skin upgrades shouldn’t count towards the “skins are expensive” argument, because if you finish the battle pass, and the epilogue, you get 50+ which is enough to upgrade 2-3 skins .
I bought it anyway. Now im homeless
Valorant skins aren’t really expensive if you play your cards right. I personally have one skin for every gun fully upgraded and that’s it. I don’t really care for other skins. For me, champions bundle is overrated. Both the phantom and vandal. I have only one account, I’ll use the same skins for life. So in my book, these skins are cheap in the long haul provided I or anyone else don’t keep buying new skins everytime for the same gun. If you are doing that and then complaining, then sorry but you need to learn.
Yes
Champs 1, the Karambits better, Champs 2 the phantom better
i’ve spent over a thousand on this game in the six months i’ve played, i hate how easy it is for me to insta-buy things.
Its always optional, i believe riot games are not selfish giving us something for free but if you want to commit to the game you loved then purchase it. (I’ve got legendary skins for free on league of legends way way back)
People would pay 500 dollars on an heirloom btw
I bought 2 battle passes so I can get a skin for every gun, then bought 3000 vp so I can buy a Vandal and a phantom since they’ll be the most common gun I’m purchasing and getting kills with. I didn’t feel the need to buy a melee because I have the K/TAC Blade and Genesis Arc which vary in aesthetics so when I’m bored of one I switch to the other.
Personally yes, I’m consistent and have a serious problem with in-game purchases regardless of type. Direct cosmetics/characters (a la Valorant, League, etc) are the least objectionable by far, but loot crates in general really rub me the wrong way. I’d rather have to pay up-front for a game than be assaulted by shops for everything every 15 minutes, honestly.
I know they’re not going anywhere, so maybe give f2p players an option for actually getting them that isn’t loot-crate based? Like, maybe you earn a small amount of RP (League’s version, not Valorant’s)/VP/whatever currency for every game and/or level instead of only being able to buy it. Gives you a more solid reward for playing consistently (especially if you’re me and own every champion in League so BE’s basically useless) while also giving players with some disposable money a way to cut the line.
Ironically, this is something that Supercell almost does really well, since you have a way in-game to actually get gems without having to pay for them. Sure it’s pretty RNG and could be way more balanced, but it’s something that Riot could learn from.
All that said, I’d rather have to pay $50 or whatever for Valorant and have every skin unlockable with RP, and I’d rather that be the system for all games across the board.
Yes, especially considering you can’t resell skins like in CS:GO
