I’ve never bought a bundle. But I did spend alot for just the Prelude to Chaos blade. Other spending is just the Vandal skin under the same name mentioned above, a battle pass, Reaver Op, and Prime Spectre.
And I’m still reeling for missing the best Phantom skin out there. The Protocol Phantom. Thing came out of shop and I don’t have money. Sadge.

I love how they avoided talking about csgo skins such as knifes where the cheapest is probably at 50$ and it goes up to thousands for one single skin only.

The problem I see is not with the prices of the skins themselves but the fact that you gotta use another currency to even watch your 100$ skins work correctly.

The price? no, if you simply work you can afford them, it’s that simple. The radianite is what makes it expensive, you can’t buy what you want even if you can afford too because well it’s worthless if you can not upgrade it. If bundles would just pre-include Radianite needed to upgrade the skins within it, it be more right. But personally as a designer myself, I can see why there is a need to price the skins the way they are because design isn’t cheap, freelance designers get paid $100,000 for logo’s alone in certain cases now think about gun skins thatll sell millions more copies, obviously they’re gonna wanna take adventage of having some serious talent inhouse.

They are too expensive. Not only that, the buying currency to then buy the skin tactic is scummy and predatory. If I want to go buy a bundle, and its maybe 6 thousand and somethin credits, why are the bundle options 5.5k credits or 8 thousand somethin credits for 140 canadian dollars?!?!?! They’re saying that to buy one bundle is worth the price of almost 2 triple A video games with entire worlds, narratives, voice acting, sound design, engines, etc. This is just a skin bundle with different colours and animations. I think the value proposition is just absurd. Not only that, but they’ve meticulously balanced the pricing so that the next time you want to make a purchase, you have juuust too few credits left over, and you have to spend more money than necessary on a bigger credit bundle, which THEN AGAIN LEAVES YOU WITH TOO FEW LEFTOVER CREDITS!!! It’s a predatory system.

yup, the new bundle costs around aud$85, they are nice skins i admit, but there is no reason for them to be that expensive. yeah sure other games make their money on skins but not a single one of them are this expensive, its not even an “investment” atleast csgo u can sell ur skins. im not shy about spending money on games, i have opver $1000 worth of skins on league of legends, u get way more for what u pay for in league skins… and u dont have to pay extra for those finishes or animations, they generally come standard in league skins

Also, Liz is right in saying that if I go after Val for their monetization, then I have to go after every other game that does the same… the problem is that no other game is monetized like this to my knowledge, other than gacha’s which are obviously predatory, not competitive fps, and a whole different beast. Not only are the skins absurdly priced, but in order for the privillege to unlock the animations, sounds, and colours that the bundle was advertised with initially, i need to spend even more money additionally on top to buy radianite. There is no other competitive game to my knowledge that prices cosmetics this absurdly

I’d only consider buying Valorant skins if they are resellable or tradable with other players. I have ton of CsGo and dota skins only because they have resale value
