What I’d hate is for him to just become a stat stick. Like, if they just buffed the number of flashes he had or kills to refresh his fireball, that’d suck a lot.

I feel like they gotta do something drastic, like significantly increasing the wall’s turn speed, maybe adding a pushback to his flames like in the cinematics, or maybe even his flames ignoring shield and reducing max health because of cauterization or something ridiculous like that. Something that makes him less of a generalist and gives him a role to lean into.

Lets bring phoenix back l. Give him a dragon/fire tp like chamber or a dash like jett. Keep his 2 flashes the same and give his molly more trajectory or leave it the same if his tp is Op.

Phoenix rework ideas
(Phoenix likely will not get new abilities as they’ve already frequently appeared in past cinematics)

Flash
-Curveball shoots out faster, making it harder to react to
-make it cost less gdamn riot
-A “burnt retina effect” where you see a afterimage after the initial flash, like a CSGO flash

Molly
-Remove the drop after a certain time, instead make it similar to the Fade E signature where you can choose when to make the molly dive
-Make the Molly timer based, like a Kayo dart

Smoke
-Gives off more healing, faster
-Standing in your own smoke does not cover your screen
-50 decrease in price
-Increase duration by ~4 seconds

Ultimate
-Make it cancelable during the ult, returning you back to where you activated the ult
-The puddle of flame where you stared the start is invisible to enemies, visible to your teammates and yourself
-Also restores armour on activation , not just fully heals you
-This ones a bit quirky, but once you’ve died, similar to a Sage res, you can revive yourself within a few seconds, perhaps 10 seconds, of being killed, if you have your ult ready.

What i don’t understand is why riot made his initial ult spot visible to enemies as well. If it’s for aesthetic purposes then it basically has no use for him because as it stays opponents can just camp the ult area. If it can be possible, only show this area to teammates and don’t show them to opponents. It’s just plain dumb bro.

Phoenix is the embodyment of a jack of all trades. He has no niche in game because the power in his kit is so spread out that agents who dedicate a majority of their power budget in a flash, into a smoke, into a aoe do those jobs better because they are specialize for completing that job the best rather than doing everything decently/slightly underwhelmingly.

Phoenix does a little of everything but not a lot of anything especially since he is the most bland character loadout in the game. So I think some rework and some buff is what he needs. Easy fix would be to make it so he can use his abilities with his gun up, this can be a game changer. Some other ones would be make his flash damage near by enemies basically so it punishes players playing too close to him, I’d make his wall thicker and the last thing I’d change is make it so after he dies in his ult and returns to his place he does a martyrdom if he gets killed shortly after. I think this would give him a much needed dynamic lift making it so that people can’t just push a player around if they played the hero, instead having to play around his abilities like any other hero.
