Personally dislike the main valorant subreddit, proplay seems to be irrelevant, with user-submitted clips of 4k’s and 5k’s dominating the front page. Same of the takes in the discussions are horrendous as well.
r/ValorantCompetitive is where it really is at imo

the main subreddit is mostly filled with low effort unfunny jokes, some random clips of gameplay and people who are probably not even aware of the pro scene. r/valorantcompetitive is much better

To me, cypher is really weird. He is actually very strong when played to a decent level, great if you main it. In comp matches, most people dont want to push cypher’s site cuz his trips unknown, at least in the beginning, cuz people reuse trips in my rank and it gets predictable and thats what ruins cypher. If you bring different trips every round, its really hard to win for enemies. But at the same time, his trips are so vulnerable, its not worth it because people dont take advantage of the trips, is easily broken and his cages cant be reused. So, you want a buff but if you buff anything of cypher, you can potentially break the game. His ult is the only one that can be buffed a bit but even then, it might be too broken, you have to be very careful with it. Then again, a marshal op for an ult is quite game breaking.

i mean no offence to the game changers teams because i think it’s great women have a space they can compete and avoid a large amount of the toxicity they’d face if they were playing against male teams. but surely using an example from a “lower tier” tournament to show cypher is viable is a bit scuffed when tier 1 teams heavily shy away from him?

Cypher absolutely has the highest potential for a “cypher round” and a lot of people’s buffs just make that more absurd, but he should probably be able to rotate more heavily and manuver his stuff better as he honestly doesn’t do it mich better than kj but it feels like he should be able to do that
