Dude the biggest downfall of Val is 100% the abilities. They have no place in a comp shooter like that. If everyone had access to buyable flash and smoke utility it’d be better. Also just Raze existing is a detriment to the type of game its supposed to be. Its an arena comp shooter, why does this mf have a rocket launcher…

you forgot to mention that valorants been out for +- 3 years now, and doesnt even have a match replay function which you could argue is a base necessity in a competitive fps game( rewatching your own mistakes, clipping plays and rewatching pro player matches in detail). Also the fact that u cant choose which maps you want to play which forces you to learn all the maps from the start is also bad. Dont get me even started about dm in valorant, which a lot of players have been begging the devs to change it. Another L for valorant is how much cs allows you to customize your own game: true 4:3 stretched, adjust viewmodel however you want, Change the text font, community servers, make your own map and or server and tailor it how you want and many more things probably. you can just easily tell that riot devs are focused on entertaining the casual player base, whilst valve devs actually listen to pro player problems occasionally and thats the main reason valorant just didnt feel enjoyable because it makes the players(us) invisible to Riot games

Cs skins will always be superior, ask Anomaly, Zipel or Onhe. Everybody who played cs knows that Valorant skins aren’t good, nothing is more iconic than Dragon Lore with 4 titans holo kato 2014!

the movement is the biggest thing for me, i love my bhops, strafes, etc. valorant has those but watered those features down so bad it feels lame and its not impactful to learn

i’ve been playing valorant for a little over a year, and i’ve been playing counter strike for about 3 months. in all of that time i have had way more fun playing cs than i ever did while playing valorant lmfao

You really can’t say Varolant is all abilities yes using abilities helps but having good aim and game is sense is more important I wonder why you didn’t mention that

Started csgo in 2017 got faceit lvl 9 and played valorant from 2021 to cs2 announcement, got to immortal. Came back to csgo. After getting high lvls in both games I realized how much better so many things are in csgo. Especially skins, i can’t believe at one point I liked valorant skins more than csgo skins LOL.

I think that valorant and Csgo just aren’t very comparable out side of skins in which Csgo easily wins out of but as someone who enjoys both I feel the core gameplay has separated much further than since vals beta. For example in valorant the random sprays are used to encourage you to tap burst and move more where as in Csgo the skill comes from learning the patterns of each gun find better positions and think critically about the fights you take both are hard to do and skills from one game do not translate into the other as they once did both games just feel super different when playing and only people who seem to think the games are that similar anymore are people who play one the other or are looking from the out side

I disagree on some of these points. Most notably, I don’t think Valorant skins are better than CS skins at face value. For me I value artwork way more than stupid animations or sounds, and the fact is, if you got rid of the animations the majority of valorant skins would be really ugly. There’s just not much artistic value in most of them. Also, the gun designs and models are cartoonish which takes some value away as well in my book.
