This is the kind of analysis that’s sorely missing from the actual broadcasts. It’s pretty rare for a tournament broadcast to discuss the game on a deeper level than who killed whom. (To be fair: things happen quickly in Valorant. But there sort of needs to be an analyst putting notes together to offer little cutaway breakdowns during timeouts or even during, like, the first 30 seconds of a round, when normally things are just a slow default and the first blood is unlikely to interrupt.)

Another production gripe: of course you were confused by the bang kill on shroud, because there’s a pathological obsession with showing POV in Valorant broadcasts, and a ton of what happens in a round is horribly obscured. It’s really telling that, for a lot of your analysis, you just zoom in on the minimap. The minimap communicates so much more about the round than a POV often does, and I wish Valorant broadcasts would use a lot more third-person camera angles to show the overall scene of a site (re)take. Anything that looks nice in POV (a multikill/etc) can just be replayed from that perspective (as it often is anyway).

We see a lot of issues of SEN players not playing off of each other and the fact that some of these are plays where neither shroud or zellsis are involved is very alarming.

I feel like they’re too old fashioned, only relying on kills and ego peeks so they’re annoying to watch. At least Shroud felt like he was actually thinking so it’s sad to see him not qualify. I want to see sentinels win but god they are annoying

Been saying this for so long…

3 initiators, 1 sentinel (chamber) and 1 controller is stronger than any comp that runs a duelist.

Riot should make it so there has to be a minimum of 1 role on the team. Devs didn’t create initiators to completely replace duelists

Honestly shroud’s performance is not as bad as people think he is considering that this is his first time on pro scene for the past 4 year, and even before he goes on joining sentinels he barely play val that much. But just being decent is not enough to save sentinels at their stage now bcs i do think that their problem is not bcs of their personal performance but rather their team coordination is always off.

I never understand why people don’t buy full utility when they can. If you end up not using the utility that round, it’ll carry over to the next round and you won’t have to buy it for the next round. But at least having it gives you the option of using it in the first place. Only reason I can see is if you buying util will affect your ability to buy full shield + rifle the next round.

As a sentinels fan maybe he joined the wrong team or at least at the wrong time they do need some time to progress I feel sentinels won before the meta and had cracked aim but now there’s just so much more competition they’ve fallen and need time to ckme up hope they come back stronger year by year I’m waiting even if shroud isn’t there. Lmk if U feel otherwise
