However, i think they should’ve buffed the long distance flashes more than 1/8th of the duration. It doesn’t make as much sense to cut almost half of the close range flashes while adding only a small fraction for the longer flashes. They should buff long range flashes more
I love the incoming Fracture changes (but I am more excited about the QoL changes on gun skins HAHA). Just a few comments:
1. The Change to Rope/Sands is big, but whether it will make the casual player base want to control it more is a big question mark. It’s either the added features will make it more palatable for attackers or it will only make attackers be less comfortable about taking it. While it would be interesting changes for pro play, filthy casuals could have a lot more reasons to hate this map.
2. I don’t think the changes will make a dent on the controller meta. In case TMV missed out, all orb smokes are of the same size, so all orb smokes can cover drop. But if accuracy has to be considered, Brim and Astra are more suited to control that area anyways. I can also say that it could offer interesting options for Viper players, since covering Ropes/ledge in this case could mean a greater initiative to fight more for control of Sands and Site (and possibly drop).
3. The changes could change the agent meta, but maybe not in the way TMV is envisioning. Neon-Breach arcade pushes are most likely fucked up by the changes to arcade, but the dish changes only make northside rushes a bit more straightforward. Also, since it could be said that there were no more changes in the south side, southside pushes are still a-ok with Neon-Breach. But the changes could swing the duelist meta towards Raze more now.
4. Cypher really needs some buffs, but the Fracture changes could do no favors for him. Our fedora-wearing boy needs so much love.
Actually, the dish area might become the new arcade area, since arcade isn’t a close corridor now, and dish now is that small hallway where the breach stuns and raze nades will do a lot of work. I won’t be surprised to see teams push dish on defense more often now, kinda like they did with arcade
I don’t like the change to Satellite. Having 2 different angels you could be wide peaked from necessitated good team coordination to safely clear
Whoever wrote these patch notes, can’t count.
Cypher 🥺👉👈😭😭😭😭
Easiest way to circumvent the sky changes would probably be to throw it into the floor
i totally want duelist who are more selfish, thanks valorant for making my reyna botfrag think they can outgun the enemy team!
I like the update (or at least the idea behind it since I can’t actually play) but my main concern are KAY/0 and Reyna. KAY/0 was a biiig agent in pro plays, but he doesn’t see much in ranked, especially in lower elos, and Reyna is actually the opposite. This update will destroy even more KAY/0 in low elo’s ranked and make Reyna a freaking God.
What’s that ‘instant’ with reyna?
I would like you to watch HITSCAN’s video on this. I believe his reasoning is superior.
The new agent better have MASSIVE SMOKES
Thanks so much for this really informative video, always appreciate your insights
Imagine in bind b site defender side from octagon just throw a bird opposite of default flash location and just fake people will be confused when will it be flashed
Rip fracture dish, you will be missed
Noo
I cant use initiator pheonix
I don’t like the changes to dish. I liked how in the past as attackers you need 2 people one to watch each side. Now you can just attack dish as one person
As a primarily Skye and Kay0 main,, I don’t really like these changes. In ranked the only consistent thing you play with is YOU, even coming every one of your flashes won’t help when you have braindead teammates who don’t even attempt to look away or peak after you flash. Ranked play is going to be way harder and these changes actually incentivizes Kay0 and Skye in pro play, not discourages it. This is just a buff to team coordination which will make these characters better in pro play. I am very much willing to hear actual arguments to this position in the replies, but whining will not get responded to
you already see a lot of left click pop flashes to set up executes, this kayo change means that those long-range pop flashes will be more prevalent, so executes will need a little more setup
There’s too many agents with flashes, honestly.
