The reason why i grail my Darius III because when i just downloaded FGO, my friend who is FGO veteran said Darius III is one of the most OP servant.

My grailed servants on NA are just Kama, Space Ishtar, Summer Musashi and Yang.

Space Ishtar and Summer Musashi, I will be honest, were not people I was aiming for on their banners. I was aiming for a 4* each time. Now, both are my arts loopers and are both lv100 and on their way to bond 11.

Yang, is actually a favorite of mine, and caught my eye early on in my fgo career. A look at the servant list, and she was someone I really wanted. She was also kind to me, summoning wise, taking only around 2 and a half multis worth to come home. If you ask for a catalyst, well, don’t ask.

Kama. MY FGO WIFE. I LOVE HER. It’s a long story. She was honestly, at the beginning on my fgo career, someone I used a lot as a support when I had no idea what I was doing. She just looked really cool, ascension 3 is some aesthetically pleasing. I asked my friend who she was, little did we know that at the time, she would end up being so dear to me. He told me about her before and Well, I had started a little after she left. That ended up being a trend for starting gachas. A favorite character leaving right before I start. I anguished for a whole year not having her. 5th anniversary rolls around… gssr time. She comes home. Headcanoned as she couldn’t want any longer and used it to come home early. My fastest lv100 10/10/10 and a lv120 target alongside her summer form next year. There’s more to this but that’s a basic gist to me liking her.

I grail most of the four stars I get to at least 90 since I don’t like looking at the number 80. It’s just a number I don’t like seeing on FGO. The only servant I seriously grailed and got to 100 since I see 120 as a waste in resources is Quetzalcoatl. She’s the only one at level 100.

LVL 100 Artoria, aka the og saber. Simple reason, bcs she’s what got me into fate in the first place. I just think that her design is unique and conservative, not your typical hyper sexualize female anime character. Also unique personality, and unique take on the legend of king arthur.

Other than her, I don’t really have a need to grail any servant. I also don’t really have any favorite servant so far (been playing for 2 years btw). The closest to being grailed is probably Melt and Kama. My next candidate is probably baobhan sith, still waiting to come to na tho

The sole reason why I grailed Okita was simply because I was fond of the Shinsengumi. There is this goal of mine that I would complete the Shinsengumi roster as much a possible.

Okita: I grailed Okita not because of meta, but because I love her character itself.

Nagao: The reason I grailed Nagao was her design

Tomoe: So far same reason as Nagao

Kojiro: REGEND

Izou: I am also fond of how Izou executes his swift yet deadly attacks, animation is quite fantastic

Ascelpius: Best doctor

Avicebron: After playing LB1 I end up being able to like his character as a whole

Lvl 100 Bedivere: I love the Arthurian Legends in general (part of the reason why I picked up Fate in general), but man… seeing him in Camelot, I loved his devotion for his King and selflessness resonated with me so much. Def my fav servant of all time!
Lvl 100 Bradamante: Ass. (jk i love her voice and how cute she is)
Lvl 100 Summer Kiara: Went into the summer banner wanting one copy but couldn’t resist and left with an NP4 kiara (free to play aside from 2 GSSRs). I love her design and the VA just brings it all together.
Lvl 100 Himiko: Armpits. That and cute voice!
Lvl 90 Summer Bryn: I adore Sigurd and Bryn and her dress is so cute, plus I pulled NP 2 on my Kiara spree!
all in all im now realizing that my fav servants are usually just cause of top tier voice acting to bring to life their unique personalities :3

I grailed Avenger Nobu and Summer Nobu because they’re both Nobu, Summer Nobu is very cute and Avenger Nobu will step on me, also their entire outlook on life (in FGO) is probably the healthiest and most fun. No stuck to the past, no depressing stories, just alot of “well, it can’t be helped!”.

Nobu is love, Nobu is life.

lvl 110 : Void Shiki. I literally started playing FGO when I learned it had playable KnK characters, and as luck would have it, I started the game a few months before the KnK rerun. Definitely a Shiki fan, and I can only hope to get more copies in order to take her all the way to 120.
lvl 102 : Jeanne Alter (in progress). I was surprised by that one, but I ended up really liking her character arc, and since she also was one of my first SSR, it only made sense to grail her. Also, big ATK number makes me warm and fuzzy inside. I currently have enough points to take her to 120 (thank you, surprise pre-christmas banner!), just waiting for more grails.
lvl 100 : Assassin Shiki (see Void’s entry) and Summer Martha (because Punch Saint is awesome)
lvl 90 : Fujino (have I mentioned I like KnK?), Tomoe (my second gold Servant, and one that carried me early on), Berserker Lancelot & the Valkyries (my main quick meta tribute), Ryouma (really like his character, and his tag team animations are awesome), Kagetora (at this point, it’s becoming clear I have have a fondness for slightly insane and violent women), Summer Jeanne Alter and Nyalter (see previous point)
lvl 80 : Cu Chulainn (for basically being my part 1 MVP), Ushi (because hadpats) and Euryale (for being there when it counted- you know what I’m talking about)
lvl 70 : Arash (because bigger numbers = good) and Kojiro (for being one of my favourites in the original FSN)

I’ll probably take some on that list a bit higher, and there are a tons of new Servants I also want to show some love (Caenis, Melt, Scathach, MHXA…) I’m just… kind of completely out of grails right now. Grail casting can’t come soon enough (well, I’m welcoming the chance to build up some reserves in coins, though).

Lvl 100 Circe: Her tale was actually the one that introduced me to mythology, and she was one of the first mythological figures I checked if they were in Fate.
Lvl 100 Nyalter: She carried me through most of part 1, I like her design more than the originals and she is a good berserker. Also the cat girl thing maybe affected my choice a little.
Lvl 100 Maou Nobu: Normally I dont really like genderbent characters, but she is just so cool and hot that she broke my bias against them.
Lvl 98 Osakabehime: She was my first 5 star in the game, she carried me through some hard rider fights and I love the silly and flustered personality. Also her valentine is so underrated.
Lvl 100 Kiyohime: she was one of the characters that convinced me to play the game, she was my main farmer at the start, I kinda like the yandere thing in some cases and shes a berserker.

Next I’ll propably grail Astraea because she is the closest thing to a finnish servant that we currently have + I just really like the drills.

level 118 summer musashi. love at first sight, currently working towards bond 14 so that I can get the last 2 levels.
level 100 okita, come on, she’s okita
level 100 hokusai saber, I love kuroboshi’s art and I like hokusai’s character
level 100 archer artoria, my first SSR in fgo and still a really strong and fun servant
level 100 kingprotea, I love the giant design and she’s extremely cute, she’s also a very unique servant gameplay-wise, so even if I don’t use her all the time, I have a lot of fun when there’s an excuse to use her
level 90 cu, just a fun and reliable servant that scales well with grails
level 90 ushi, carried me through the early game
level 90 martha ruler, carried me through the early game too
level 90 penth, love the design, very fun servant to use
level 90 mhxx, I like her design, but I’m mostly into her gameplay as a ST arts foreigner.
level 70 arash, it costs 1 grail for 10 levels on the grand archer, can’t find much better value.

My favourite servants are:
King Hassan – Very first 5 star I got and saved my ass in part 1

Kingprotea – Stronk daughter with good skills, what’s not to love

Sei Shounagon – Genki girl energy AND drawn by Baelz’s artist? Sign me tf up

Himiko – Crit meme enabler and a huge beatstick to boot. Also Tamura Yukari is a plus.

Lvl 94 Arash: besides obviously increasing his atk a bit, I think he is also really really cool, specially after Camelot

Lvl 90 Jason: didnt like him at all, but after Atlantis, I changed my mind completely

Lvl 90 Salome: my failed attempt of having Vlad. But still, the…DESIGN really pulled me in and I really feel like losing my head to her

And yeah, that’s it, not a single 3* and above servant on ny grailed front

Lv 80 Izou and Fuuma because I didn’t fully understand what grails were at the time and wanted to reward them for helping me so much

Lv 75 Bedivere for similar reasons but I realized how limited grails were so I stopped before he was 80

Lv 90 Herc to make unga bunga better and to show my appreciation for him being my first 4 star

Lv 100 Spishtar for farming, and eventually because I grew to like her as well

Lv 100 Tamamo, Dantes, Qin Shi Huan, Eresh, and Kiara because they’re my favorites

107/120 Blackbeard – Playing Okeanos was when I began really enjoying FGO and I thought that Blackbeard, as shallow as he can be written sometimes, was very funny. This isn’t how I grailed him though. Blackbeard got leveled from 65 to 100 at 5am one night after a terrifying sleep paralysis experience, in which for some reason I thought “wouldn’t it be really funny to grail blackbeard?” Since then I’ve formed a parasocial relationship with him and any time he is featured in an event I get very happy.
100 Mordred – When I watched Apocrypha (sometime after i started the game) I really liked the show, and my favourite part was the dynamic between Sisigou and Mordred. I fell in love with her personality, and in my opinion it was the most consistent part of the show. Also tomboy waifu 🙏
100 Moriarty – When I was just beginning in FGO the Moriarty event rerun was the current event. I remember playing the trial quest for Moriarty and thinking “this character has one of the coolest designs ive ever seen.” Not to mention, his NP animation was crazy cool too. I ended up playing through the event without the context of Shinjuku, but I loved his personality and of course the bartender outfit 😳. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get the outfit before the event ended and now I’m praying for it to be added to the shop one day. I also loved the Shinjuku story and that cemented my love for Moriarty.
100 Mango – I love everything about Angra Mainyun as a character in hollow ataraxia, and I committed to grailing him to 100 if I ever reached NP5 (I have NP8 now), so it had to be done.
90 Black Bart – I’m gonna be honest, most of my draw to this character is because hes incredibly cute. I also love pirates and his design and history are very cool.

Level 118 EMIY: Easily my favourite Nasuverse character as a whole
Level 90 Cu, Kojirou, Medea and Medusa: I mean, I like FSN?
Level 90 Chen Gong: Because killing waifus is fun
Level 90 MHXX: Because she is the closest thing we will get to Ado Edem in this game
Level 90 Kagetora: Needed the stat boost + I just really like her, probably one of my favourite FGO originals alongside Chen Gong. Also, she died while shitting

Cool vid, Myst! Always love hearing reasons for grailing, and hearing about your interest in the shinsengumi was definitely fun!
Btw, if you want an idea for a video, you could probably do one about recurring characters for Events (like Emiya or Robin), and if they might benefit from grailing.

As for who I grailed and my reasons for doing so:
120 *Jalter* – I already liked Jeanne, but Jalter pushed it over the edge. I like to think the Dragon Witch of Orleans has been freed from her cage and brings hellfire to all the Lost Belts that oppose us. Funny story; when we got the feature to grail past 100, I noticed I was the only person on my friend list to start. Everyone was probably waiting for the new Embers, but by the time I got to 106, it must’ve broke the resolve of some people, because they started as well lol
100 *Raikou* – Was a big fan of Raita previously, so having an OP AoE Buster at the time was the best choice. Nowadays I still have a Scope on her. Still useful too. (Lancerkou gets 90 if I np2)
90 – *Berserkalot* – Even though I had him at np3, I still took him to 90 for DSS. Absolutely loving it.
90 *Ridertoki* – For a long time, I had no good ST Rider options. Kintoki proved himself time and time again, so it was time to raise him properly among his SSR peers.
100 *Kama* – Admittedly, I’m a Rin > Sakura guy, but when Kama dropped she. ticked. so. so. SO. many. boxes. Turns out, I love collecting Beasts. I’ll 120 her if I manage to np5 her.
100 *Gilgamesh* – I was a big fan of Gilgamesh back in the original FSN. Yes, even DeenFSN. Not sure why. I guess while everyone hated him for being a smug asshole, I liked him as a confident self-absorbed guy, who probably had reason to be up his own ass. (And turned out he did lol)
80 *Chen Gong* – Mostly gameplay. Very useful.
80 *Hans Christian Andersen* – He fell off my party for a while after I Bond 10’d him, but I recently picked him up again for a party to deal with challenge quests. Dude is so good. No regrets. He’s definitely the sixth of the Tirelessly Support Casters.

Lvl 100 Musashi, Zerksashi and Kojirou: Ok so, this is literally a meme. Since I like Japan and Japanese history, in my friend group I’ve been called ‘The Samurai’ because of the excess of weebness. Kojiro and Musashi were a MUST to grail to support this meme.

lvl 100 Meltlilith, Kama: Sakura is my favorite female character from the OG Stay/Night, but as a F2P my collection of sakura faces stops at these two. Grailed them anyway.

lvl 100 Jalter: ok so this is a really weird one. A friend of mine used Jalter pic as a face-borrower for a ttrpg. I liked his character so much I decided to get her on FGO, grailed

lvl 90 Chloe: My first welfare, had to celebrate (also I’m a pedo (we jk of course))

planning to get NP5 Oberon (good luci me) and grail him till 120, he’s my fav
