The directors had their own characters in the game and everything. Met both of them, and I don’t think Jack noticed. I don’t remember where he saw Koola, but Viv was in the nightclub with the awesome dragon hat.

IMO based on memories I did unlock (sans a few) humanity was threatened by something horrible on the outside so they built the dome. Being in a dome for many years led to trash becoming an issue so scientists tried to get rid of the trash by creating the everything eating bacteria… Bacteria evolved into the Zurks. The typical classism stuff we see in actual real world settings still occurred, the richest of the humans held themselves up high where they were ‘safe’ and closed the middle and lower class out.

The middle class types were still doing okay for themselves, and would just pile their garbage and problems down amongst the poor. Likely assisted by neco corp, and in doing so they likely ended up just making a bad problem worse. I imagine the security drones and things and the worker bots eventually were tasked to shut out those from the slums and that’s how they ended up for years and years before ginger-cat ended up on the case.

After a bit a plague caught on, that spread like wildfire, so much in fact that it eventually killed off all of the humans, likely catching on faster in the less rich areas, they went to try to ask for help from the rich ‘safe’ humans, but they eventually got sick too, and with no more resources from the outside, they all just eventually died. Luckily B-12 the scientist uploaded his consciousness to the system but he did so only after watching his whole family die from the plague.

I would REALLY love at least a dlc where your main mission as a cat is to guide the first robots going back to the surface, ending up with everyone you know getting along and starting to enjoy the sunlight and greenery again (I’m a sucker for wholesome endings), kinda how Wall-e ended up, but expanding it more, adding more sections of exploration and stealth as there are now new risks of going outside again, like rocky mountains, wild animals, thunder storms, etc. And maybe even more robots that could get out! It’s an amazing concept to go off of and it would serve for a great prologue for this awesome story.
