Back in the ’70s.. One of “Dear old Dad’s” drunken buddies carried his .22 in his pants pocket and pulled it out by the barrel at our house to show it off to Dad and I was in the room. It caught in his pants and and it went off ‘skyward’. Round went in his jaw, traveled along his skull and out the top of his head and lodged in the ceiling. He lived to tell the tale that day. Wish I could say the event ‘sobered him up’ but he ‘finished the job’ several years later in another event in the ’80s I heard. Never learned the full extend of his demise but some folks never learn. Don’t think he ever did get a holster.

so i bought this used Tisas 1911-A1 from a pawn shop for $300 out the door.

i then went online and spent $750 for a custom blue stingray and horse hide holster.

yeah my priorities may be a bit jumbled but damn it does look nice.
