I was really hoping to see what the environment during the very last scene of the game looks like from different angles, the bit where the cat goes up the stairs and then it cuts to credits. I also would love to see Yakuza Kiwami 2 and Ghostwire Tokyo covered on this channel as they both also feature high detail city environments

Some feedback, since it was asked for at the end of the video.
I wonder what it would’ve been like to have some zoom-outs or alternate views, if possible, particularly of places like the outdoor environment at the start of the game. The game has some beautiful environment design, and being able to see overviews of it from different angles might’ve been fun.
12:23 “I’m not even sure if you can see either of these.” As in, from inside the bounds? Why not fly the camera back in bounds and check, while making the video?
For the trees in general, I feel like comparison images (in bounds and out of bounds) could’ve highlighted some of the ways the developers made the most of their tree assets.

Overall? Good presentation, just like last time. Snipey’s delivery is as good as Shesez’s, which itself was very good. It’s clear that you both enjoy the subject matter and the opportunity to show it off and present game developers’ work and skill in new ways.

4:46 Oh cool, shell texturing. This technique is used in a few games.
One interesting example is the original Ōkami, at least for the Nintendo Wii. After beating the game, you could unlock alternate character skins for Amaterasu, the wolf that you play as. One of those skins is a much more realistic wolf texture, and it uses a single shell (far less than Stray!) for its fur. I’m not entirely sure, but I _think_ they actually retexture Ammy’s black cel shading outline to turn it into the fur shell.
Interesting to seem all those game technique in the game strays. As much as I want to help answer some of the technique used here I think as so do learning some myself as a Game Dev. But I think is more Interesting people can keep guessing how it work XD
