I think I’m gonna stop spending money on this game until they change things. I understand what they are trying to do but people will stop playing the game if this continues.

In person events suck like, you have to pay an extorntionate amount of money to hatch eggs for shinies with rate of sometimes 1/500, or elite raids not everyone can play in a big community in rural areas, and now remote raids going to cost about 2$ per for a 1/20 shiny. Bit of a silly update imo

And today I go back to being a casual player. I almost quit when the 3 pack of remotes went from $2.50 to $3. Now it’ll be an easy soft quit. I’m sure I won’t be the only one.

This is highly unacceptable coming from Niantic; I get Niantic’s ambition is to motivate players from travelling physically and exploring the world through Pokémon, but this is fundamental especially for people who may not have a lot of gyms nearby to raid at or can’t have enough Legendary Pokémon spawn at a time. Remote raiding is useful for those people who don’t have sufficient amount of gyms or maybe weather conditions are too harsh or if a lockdown were to occur OR even to turn up on time to a raid ‘physically’ in case you might miss it. And not only that, they throw in the premium passes and bundle AT THE SAME PRICES AS THE ORIGINAL REMOTE PASSES. If Niantic wants to get people to go out more for raiding, increase the number of free raids everyday and/or decreases the prices of the premium prices so people who want to shiny hunt the specific raid Pokémon can go ahead and do it physically everyday but with an abundant amount of in-person passes to make up for the loss of remote passes. (also given that you can’t do the same raid twice as well which is not ideal). Niantic has made a massive mistake doing this, regardless of whether they dislike it.

This is great. For someone who doesn’t spend money on this game, it will now take me 4 days to get 200 poke coins IF one of my Pokémon gets nocked out. Idc about the remote raid limit but the new price is ridiculous

I’m chronically ill and don’t live in a city. I don’t have many options now. I can’t just walk for hours or drive to every city within 100km range. So for me, my way to get to interesting raids and having a community that was able to take down those raids have now been shut down. Unless I was able to just pay loads of money. And that won’t happen, especially when the game gets continuously less and less available and fun for people like me.

This update will ruin the game , for people who dont live in big cities they wont be able to do any type of raids because not a lot of players play the game in that certain area. pls niantic dont do this people are gonna quit the game. ( me included)
