The criticisms is fair but dunkey missed the point of the plot. The cat’s purpose isn’t to save humanity, cat wants to go Outside and it happens to align with the robots’ purpose (saving humanity by opening the door to Outside), that’s why it goes along with B-12’s instructions. B-12 isn’t its master. So in a way, it already does what Dunkey suggests, cat wants to go outside and happen to save humanity along the way. B-12’s isn’t there just to show what happen to humanity but also to open the doors, getting/holding objects for the cat, translate robots-tongue to cat-tongue (lol),…if we’re to criticize the cat already being too smart then a cat being a super hacker that can read human texts and open heavy machine door on its own is even more absurd. I agree that Stray being same genre as Abzu, Journey,..but that doesn’t mean it have to follow that formula to a T

Indie games are a saturated market. They throw together games that have < 10 hours of playtime, with a majority focus on scenery, and label the cash-grab as "indie".

tbfh i like untitled goose game more than this, the goose game truly captures how being a goose is. this one is like gow2018 “jumping” and “look at the set design” thingy going on, yeah youre right, im a cat, so why would i save this world by choice? its as u say either by accident or if it wants milk, which i was hoping for for the ending but didnt went there. story is generic too . post apo abt plagues and robots yeah nier automata did it too yknow. it was so hyped when it was announced coz its a cat sim but i was so turned off by the the “gameplay and story” when it came out.

I jumped down inside a building and now I’m stuck. Literally cannot jump back up out of it to progress. There’s no doors that open. This game honestly sucks. I hope they bring out some bugfixes and all that cause it looks beautiful and it does have potential.

I feel like if someone is focusing on all the little small details they don’t like, then they miss the point of the game. You’re a cat. Be a cat. The robot story is nice too, but the main experience is still being a cat.

I’m sad you had all those bugs too, I watched my friend play through it all a few days ago and we didn’t get any, suppose we were lucky.
