Having this be a press X to jump here and not a jump king like platformer where you explore a vertical area with complete control of where you want to go but a risk of falling and landing on your feet is such a sad waste of an opportunity. Why would a cat ever fetch anything, it’s not a dog. A cat ambitiously exploring a war torn city just for you to escape and leave them to their war would be the most catlike thing.

I think everybody not realizing you are a fucking cat was part of the charm of the game. They are treating you like you are Gordon Freeman and I’m nearly positive that the cat was just lucking its way into taking down the evil regime.

It’s true that the gameplay is quite simple, there’s no platforming since all you do is press the button prompt to jump, the puzzles (where you need to trap zurks or sentinels in one area in order to progress, or move a barrel to jump to a higher platform) are very simple and it isn’t hard to escape the zurks or the sentinels as long as you press the run button…

On the other hand, not every game has to be a soulslike, can’t we drop the cynicism for a few hours and enjoy playing as a cute little cat? 😀
