Riot did not nerf Tejo for marketing, they nerfed Tejo because he was too dominant in the meta. Additionally, Riot released him powerful because they wanted him to at least shake up the meta and make the game feel new and fresh, even if it was just for a bit. And on top of all that, Tejo was released with the most basic, standardized kit in existence. Single charge abilities, a 4,500 credit full buy, a 40 second cooldown, and a 8 point AOE ultimate. This isn’t new, it’s been done before.
