I hate icebox, but play decently on the map. I dont complain much but i hate the map with a passion.
Breeze, i just flat out hate, and cannot play well at all unless i go full lock in omniscient view type shit.

11:58 The crazy part about the Pearl whole year absence is that back then they still were hellbent focused on not separating the competitive map pool and regular modes until way too recently in the life of the game, so there was no way to play the missing maps on public matches (I think they even removed the rotated out maps from modes like spike rush, who was making these dumb decisions?!)

I’d add this informations too:
– Bind needed the changes because it used to have similae problems as Split. It was too defender sided. Now it’s quite balanced
– Both Breeze and Pearl were broken, but they had the opposite problem of Bind and Split. They were too attacker sided. Pearl is the most balanced map right now, Breeze is balanced but as fun, it become worse.
– Pearl before the reworks was too broken. People dodged more than Fracture and Breeze combined. Too many ratspots than it needed. I liked the map, but mid was a real gamble.
– Lotus was the buggiest map in Valorant. Undestructable KJ ult spots, mid spawn by the rotating doors, weird Neon slide lineups, totally broken Sage wall spots, an so on. Also, it was attacker sided too
– Breeze has a concept issue, which it’s always has the same meta for years and it’ll always be attacker sided. Probably it won’t come back ever again.
– Fracture rework was neccessary, the matches were too chaotic. Overhated map.

My predictions:
– Sunset B site will have a complete rework. It’s too hard to oush into the site, and it’s even harder to retake because of the B main spams.
– Ascent will have mid changed. I know, it’s a beloved, but ket’s be real. If Ascent was released now, everyone would hate it
– Breeze won’t come back without another serious rework
– One of the nee maps will be a night map. Pearl is the closest to it, but it’s more like a dusk map.
– Even more wallbang spots will be removed
– One of the new maps will have interactive objects, such as ringable bells and normal doors
– One of the new maps will be indoor like Broadcast in CoD4
– Abyss will got a big rework, most of them are related to site.
– There will be two new enterances to mid from A and B

Current states of Valorant maps
Ascent: the most beloved map (but it’s overrated imo)
Haven: loved but it will be even more popular
Bind: you like it or hate it, not in between
Split: sentinel, controller and raze mains loves this map
Icebox: mostly disliked, except when it’s out of map pool
Breeze: it’d be fun but the meta is too stale and it’ll be
Fracture: niche map. Most of players will always hate it, but a small group will always love it
Pearl: from hated to liked is suprising, but not as much as Haven or Ascent
Lotus: no one loves it or hates it, mostly liked
Sunset: without the b sites changes, it’ll be always on the unpopular side
Abyss: fun concept, terrible result

After watching this video I realized Heaven is the only map which is still as it was before. Haven’t got any major changes.
