I think pogo should catch on to people that are spoofing, BUT, I would also say that the pogo and Niantic team should add a way to move your character around with fewer chances for shinies, fewer candies, etc. So then people that are unfortunate enough to not go out every day or don’t live in rural areas can still “walk” to their nearest store or small city and enjoy the game to the fullest. Bots should also be detected and struck. I think if they added a way to play the game other than dailies it would bring a lot more people into pogo, more than they have already.

As a spoofer myself the method I use which is PGSharp its not as easy to get shundos because I can teleport to 100% iv pokemon but still have to rely on the 1/500 chance of it being shiny and I only do this because I cant get out of the house being 16 and having to watch my younger siblings but when I do play I like to stay in my state so AZ I don’t go anywhere crazy like new york cause I want to keep some sorts of a vanilla play style

Dude i’m a teen alright i cant just travel many people can’t travel i can’t go to berlin and all these stuff and it sucks, what if niantic makes it that for go fest or something you can spoof and go to the area where the event is and after that you “have to disable it” or they just remove it from your account or you’ll be banned for like a couple days or something, i know it sounds stupid but it would be very helpful for people who can’t travel, especially kids and people who are handicapped or just can’t afford it.

I played Pokémon go since day one I spoofed back in 2018 and I can honestly say it was the best Pokémon go experience. I stopped after a 7 day ban and played legit since then but it’s just not fun I tried to go out and play more often but gas prices and crime in my area just sucks. Back during the spoof days I was able to do all sorts of raids and get Pokémon I would never see other wise, I even got regional Pokémon for friends and some random people I meet. Good times

I live in Arizona where it’s hot. Gas is expensive, especially if you’re poor. Spoofing made the game playable, and enjoyable! Now I can’t do that, so I can’t play unless we spend money on gas to get to a mall. :/

Boring. Sad, too.

put this way，if Niantic create more poke-stops and gyms at places where have none atm. more people wont choose to spoof.
They should also consider people working day to day，from 9-5 or 7am-6pm.
If Niantic care about these people in community，then less people would not cheat.

I super don’t care if people spoof. I’d rather Niantic stop forcing their idea of how they want you to play/rolling back features, and allow the game to evolve with the times.

people shouldn’t defend spoofing. you take your risk if you want, but when it becomes your way of playing the game, you want to defend it. if you never started, you probably wouldn’t care.

Sooo, they’ll [claim to] shutdown a revenue stream that will cost them a lot of money by shutting down spoofers after having spent who knows how much time & money perfecting their detection tech, but they can’t find a way to make the game more enjoyable for rural players who Niantic seems to expect to have to drive 20 miles every time they even wanna play the game.

Dear Niantic, do you want us paying for gas, or putting money into your game? There’s a legit opportunity cost here that y’all have overlooked for literally years at the expense of overall playerbase happiness.

I’ve attempted to play pokemon go at the same rural residence for some years (girlfriend as well) and we STILL don’t get spawns at or around the house. How long do we have to wait for such a simple data analysis for that to get fixed? It’s not even hard. You can easily analyze the GPS positioning to catch spoofers but not to help determine where spawn locations should be? You can’t throw down some kind of generic pokestop at my house? Cause I know for sure you’re not gonna let me submit and accept a request for one unless I go buy some wood sculpted dinosaur or something equally goofy to take a picture of and submit for a stop.

This stuff is just mind blowing how much a game themed around exploration caters to city life. Like truly.

I agree with some of your comments but most spoofers, that are semi-legit, only spoof because of the inability of both stops and gyms. And not to mention, the lackluster of spawns, and the current situation of the constant boring events.

I think people spoofing for regionals for the pokedex should be fine, but not encouraged. However spoofing because you’re too lazy to go out or to snipe hundos should be one warning, then a straight permaban.

Ban the spoofers and call the wahmbulance. You are not entitled to have every shiny or regional the second it comes out. Seriously devalues the effort of those of us who walk 100k+ per week or travel for events.

Lmfao hell ya! Bout time Niantic did something about the cheaters😅 rotfl. Now the next best thing they could do is take the extra rates and shinies from. The spoofers for cheating to get them 😅 fingers crossed lmao sword and shield did it maybe Niantic will too 😅
