I’m no spoofer myself (I know a few though) and for people who do not spoof, here’s a couple of things to think about:

3.1 of Terms of Service
‘Accessing Services in an unauthorized manner (including using modified or unofficial third party software)’

So using anything other than an official Go Plus device is cheating.. like say, a Trainer Clubs Go-tcha (evolve) auto catcher device ? as this device needs extra-unofficial software in which to run and interact with Pokemon GO.

‘Playing with multiple accounts for the same Service’

Is there anyone playing Pokemon GO that does not have multiple accounts ? even the greatest (IMO) PoGo player himself ‘Brandon’ has 3 accounts (maybe more, he has just told us three)

Niantic replied to me in a message that a gotcha was a 3rd party device and could cause me to be banned. Can you clarify this as you have an official trainer club gotcha.

Rural players need to buy a console and play other pokemon games. I’m tired of their entitlement. I’m glad Niantic is doing something. I wouldn’t even give strikes, straight up ban would be my choice.

THEY DONT give YOU A CHANCE, last year I was spoofing on my main account (nowadays I don’t anymore) I spoofed and got a RW I never once touched a spoofer on my main since, and I got hit 😅 termination not suspended I am terminated

Yes. Pogo is unfair in its current form for a lot of players. Funny how this is made to look like it’s out of fairness for everyone. Even after this implementation the game will still be unfair, and it’s niantic that’s doing it with game structure. I live in very rural area, have gotten several stops and a couple gyms in my < 500 person town, but I still have to drive into that town to play. So much could be done to help rural players. How about having spawns when walking no matter where you are. I have walked my 40 acres tons of times just hoping for a spawn. Nothing. I do get the credit for walking my buddy/hatching but why no spawns. Incense are very poor and cost $ since very difficult to keep mons in gyms to get coins. Could go on and on.

okey so the want to make pokemon go FAIR game for everyone. but what if you life in a place where there are only 1 or 2 stops/gyms.. or what if you can’t go outside because of a sickness but you like to play the game. so thats also not a fair game for everyone for my look on the game is. if people spoof only for rare pokemon and pay for the coins they need to do raids/egg’s events, then i say let them play like that because i think that maybe half of the players that play legit get’s there coins by gyms or daily task.. so of spoofers they will earn more money and only because spoofer get more rare pokemon for less effort i’d say if they like it like that and don’t harm others with it what is the problem ? because it’s not fair for other players also who cannot play go fest or have allot of gyms/stops near them..

It might be controversial but I’m a rural player and I will always be against spoofing. I’m not trying to change anyone, I’m simply explaining my position.

Sure, we, rural players have a disavantage compared to city players. However, I have never been bothered by it since I play with my community(other rural players) and so when I compare myself it tends to be with others people who share the same disavantages. In that sense the playing field is pretty leveled. Shinies are harder to get but it just gives them more value!

I spoof because there are no gyms or stops where I live. They want “fairness”? Have stops and gyms in every block everywhere and increase spawns in rural neighborhoods. Have shiny Pokémon APPEAR SHINY IN THE OVERWORLD!
Spoofing would all but vanish

Totally agreed with one comment below that Niantic is far away from providing “fair play”.
Is not this true that all the steamers and youtubers get free tickets for the event.? 🤣 And other have to buy
One PVP steamer shows and said “please don’t send me Birlin go fest ticket. I get almost all events ticket free from nintic” .

Trainers will never be on a level playing field. I know people who travel the world, never cook their own food, and drive Porsches. They are able to buy a level of access that many people can not.

I also know people who let others log into their account from other countries. not spoofing but still not really clean.

Am I the only one who thinks they should have done it earlier? Some people have been playing the game legit since the start and still don’t have the Pokémon a spoofer would be able to get. I do not care how others play the game, but if you do spoof, you know the risks so getting angry at Niantic doesn’t make sense to me.
I also get that some people say they live in rural areas which makes it hard to keep up with the game. I used to have not many stops around either, but I grinded Wayfarer with a group of locals and now we have a city full of stops and gyms. Life will never be fair, people that can’t afford a quick pc or phone will also always have disadvantages in videogames, but that doesn’t give you the right to get angry at a company for doing what they should do, keeping the game fair to others

I’m Not Here To Excuse Why I Do It But Me Personally If It Wasn’t For That I Would Have Not Been Able To Make The Lucky Trades From People Around The World Cause Niantic It’s Not Gonna Cover Everyone’s Expenses To Travel And Do Them Right? Otherwise Those Lucky Trades Would Be Just Sitting There And Would Never Be Cashed In. I Help My Friends Get Pokémon They Can’t Again Travel Issues, Not Everyone Has The Luxury Of Being Able To Travel Around The World Whenever They Feel Like It Or YouTubers They Get Sponsored By Niantic And Get Their Expenses Covered. And The “Unfair Advantage” Pretending To What? Cause The Game Still Has To Be Played Like Any Other Normal Game, I Get People Hate The Ones That Take Over Every Gym I Personally Don’t Because What’s The Point If Youre Allowed Only 50 Coins A Day. Where I Live Only Thing Close To Me It’s One Gym And One Pokestop And The Spawns Well A lot Of Us Know How That Is Also It’s Not Like Doing It We Get Free Stuff We Get One Raid Pass Like Everyone Else If You Want To Spend Your Money Buying More Well Thats They’re Own Choice, Like I Said I’m Not Here To Excuse It Or Promote It But Seems Like It’s That Topic It’s Gonna Me A Ongoing Issue For A Long Time On This Game.

The worst is (as a gold gym hunter) when someone spoofs you out of a gym you had to hike to or travel far for on foot. Or even worse…. “follows you” around town taking all your gyms within minutes after seeing your username, hunting for you like a ghost, then leaves them Grey so you can’t tell who it is to report them. If people want to cheat for their own benefit whatever, but if you cheat to harass others you are despicable. Yes these are very real things that happen to my play group all the time by other toxic members of our community.

Technically, third party auto catchers is a form of cheating. Are you not risking your account by having promoted your own auto catcher ? Do you think they will also strike players for using such auto catchers ?

On a separate note , I don’t really get the purpose of auto catcher. It basically a bot that helps you catch the wild spawns and spin stops. If you are in a city area where there are plenty of stops and consequently plenty of spawns, you don’t really have to be moving to gain a massive advantage over others. The time it takes for that bot to work would more or less coincide with respawn timers. It just gathers a lot of stardust , XP and candies for the time you don’t really invest in playing. Unlike spoofing it is slightly fair since all do have the ability to buy an auto catcher to get an advantage. But for a game that focuses on going out to play , it just doesn’t make sense to have a bot do your job for you even if it is by official means.

What’s next ? Niantic officially introducing paid version of auto hatching incubators and some buddy treadmill to have your buddy bring you more XL candies when you just sit on your couch ?

To all of you spoofers out there, If you’re thinking about spoofing the in person go fest events, Don’t.

Each Pokemon Go account is linked to the name of the ticket holder of the account attending the event with exact times and dates. If your account is in that location, but doesn’t have a ticket, then Niantic WILL ban you for an indefinite amount of time.

What I havent seen or heard mentioned is the “GPS signal lost” bug…

1. Physically go to a location in your area with a cluster of stops and gyms.

2. Activate a gotcha or similar device.
(I have the trainer club evolve watch).

3. While leaving the game on use your phone settings to deactivate your phones location function.

This will result in the game essentially “locking” your position to where GPS information was last available…right in the middle of all those stops. And for as long as your game is open and the gotcha device is connected, (30 to 60 minutes) you’ll be able to physically leave that location, go home, shower, go eat, etc, and your game will stay there and be able to spin stops and collect balls. Eventually the gotcha device will disconnect and you will not be able to reconnect it as long as your location is deactivated which means you’ll have to physically reset your position to do it again.

This does NOT work for catching pokemon, only for spinning stops for balls.

Obviously this could be considered an exploit or “not in the spirit of the game”. But my question. Is it BANNABLE under these new guidelines?
