This is probably the most negative take on Stray I’ve seen, which really shouldn’t be a surprise, given who it is. But like, we’re willing to accept that the world is now cyberpunk sentient robot town, but assuming the cat has an understanding of what’s going on around it that’s decently higher than a normal cat’s is just too far? I feel like there’s a lot of overthinking happening here.
I get the feeling he was expecting the cat version of untitled goose game or goat simulator
Lol this sounds hilarious….. To watch someone else play and see them press the cat do random stuff button on accident 🤣
Haven’t you been following the stupid news, Yahtz? Americans are starting to learn that it’s not ok to say “spaz”. You’re English, you should already know that’s not been acceptable since the 90s, it was pretty jarring to hear you just spit it out
Thanks
The terminator with a rice hat has to be one of the funniest visual gags I have ever seen on this show
do digimon survive
And that is the reason I thought everyone was off their damn rockers for going nuts on this game.
I like the concept of stray. (SPOILERS) You are seeing what ultimately happened to humans after they failed to avoid a pandemic (isn’t that ironic) and also what they created (The zurks, created from bacteria that built up and became sentient) Through an animals eyes. The reason B12 dying is emotional is they are the last of the humans that we know, uploaded into a drone so they can eventually get back outside. And, to save they’re only friend after the apocalypse, they sacrifice their consciousness to free the kitty and robots, as well as kill the zurks. And while yes, a normal irl cat probably wouldn’t give two shits, you gotta admit the scene after where the cat curls up beside them is heartbreaking, at least for me anyway.
Also Yahtzee, not going to get all preachy, but be careful using the term ‘spaz’ or ‘Spazzing’, it’s a common word used to discriminate against disabled people. I understand the situation you used it in but just be careful, don’t want people coming in to “cancel” you for it.
Does Yahtz have a thing for cats??
I feel like this is a game that even Yahtzee wasn’t sure if he disliked or liked.
So the core thing that somewhat interested me was that you could jump and climb almost anywhere. But that went all out the window after I heard that’s it’s only contextual.
Well, a few pesos saved I guess.
EDIT: Everytime Yahtzee sees RPG elements in game he criticizes them. And now he critizes the fucking lack of it?
I can just hear people losing their shit over the use of “spaz.”
Blinx was a fun game, you should do a retro review of it.
… Oh my god the Xbox in my closet is now a retro console.
0:40 dammit, he got me.
When I saw the first trailer for this game I was so excited. I don’t get why they had to make it post-apocalyptic tho. The plot could basically have been just the everyday shenanigans of a cat and it would have been great.
Reminds me of that one Animaniacs character.
I wish they would make a game starring Ferrets. They’re cartoonishly active and they never lost their urge to play. And to steal everything you own that isn’t welded to the floor. “Ferret Thief”, maybe?
Blinx fans rise up. Then sit back down since we’re never getting a new game ever again.
Playing as a cat that cannot attempt to jump any and everywhere is not playing as a cat.
