My fav was people going against spoofers

But they have used maps, they have multiple accounts, they have logged into friends accounts to get 100% or rare spawns ( account sharing)

People never had the same playing field, some people live in good areas with lots of stops/gyms/spawns, other dont. Some people can spin stops and gyms from home without the need to go outside.

My local neighborhood community actually expelled the spoofers from the group and shunned them before the pandemic. Cheating takes the fun out of the game.

If Niantic want to get rid of spoofing they need to stop punishing people for playing remotely and make it a level playing field for those who can’t travel, until that day comes it is them who are responsible for it. It doesn’t even impact other players unless you start taking gyms. If you’re going to spoof, don’t do that. I have a friend who specifically got a break in his work times between 2 and 5pm so he could do community days.
Then you changed it to 11am to 2pm. What’s he supposed to do, tell his boss he wants to change hours again on a continual basis every time you decide to change community day hours? He used to be able to play legit but as a result of your changes niantic, he has to spoof in order to participate in community day. That’s on you, not him .

Definitely going to hurt the player count. And that’s a whole community all on its own. Play how ya want to play… I only care about my legitimately caught Pokemon on my own account. If you want to flex hundreds of shundos it doesn’t bother me in the least.

I agree with pretty much everyone in the comments.

I don’t think Spoofing is an issue. I have friends who use certain apps to spoof and it actually makes the game so much more enjoyable. They TP to NY and autowalk around 400 something pokestops because where we all live has like, 4 stops….15mins away….

Believe it or not, they actually walk around town while spoofing to other locations so the incentive to exercise is still very much there for them at least.

People shouldn’t have an issue with spoofers being able to teleport to perfect IV pokemon for PVP. IV’s barely matter. Every content creator that I watch who participates in PVP almost NEVER has perfect or even decent IV’s lol. Poke AK, Zionic, FPSticks, Kieng, etc.

Maybe if Niantic made the game more accessible for players in Rural/ village areas where stops are rare and Spawns are the same 4 or 5 pokemon every day. I spoof but I spoof so I can actually enjoy all the game offers.

You’re never has been and never will be a level playing Field… Someone living in Manhattan has an enormous advantage compared to someone living in a rural area. Seems like they’re initial efforts should be pokestops and better spawns.
If the game were to look like Manhattan for instance, that would solve the problem (which isn’t really a problem)

Honestly I disagree with your points ,
Spoofing actually levels the Plainfield niantic only cares about money that’s why they do what they do and never get rid of spoofers in the first place since they still pay for passes and makes them money.
Niantic needs to fix the trade system with lucky friends how in the world will I be able to trade with my lucky friend that lives in Korea when I don’t even know where that person is located and or I even have the funds to travel over there it makes no sense and it’s bs .

How about giving us items to increase stats, regionals in raids or cycle regionals around. a staggering number of spoofers would have no need to cheat. But niantic wouldn’t dare do anything to help the players.

I’ve never had a problem with people spoofing BUT I don’t PVP. I think of it as it’s their game and their money and they spend a lot of money. I have had friends get a second strike before they stopped. I’m not willing to risk all my work and money I’ve put into it.
The flex is no flex to me at all if you’re spoofing. It’s similar to hunting to me.

Cheating rules also includes multiple accounts…. I just recently made an second account because I’m almost at the farthest I can go on my first account. And I also can now knock my Pokémon out of the gyms if they have been there for longer than two days. Can we have more than one account and play the game normally between the two accounts. Not a spoofer, and I legit grind on my first account and have been grinding on the second account until I read you cannot have more than one account. Any insight on this rule. Oh and also under the rules of cheating it talks about auto catching devices… is Gotcha now a device we cannot use?
